The only poem I've ever written (Ray)

(This is the only poem I've ever written [was more than 10 years ago]. Somebody said I should put it on the blog. It's in the absolute blankest possible verse.)


Damaged and Damned

There are two kinds of damned
The bailiff led, the Cerberus dogged, the should be jailed-
Those who maim and hurt simply

And there are those who simply hurt,
The parent plagued, the red bled, the scream typified

When they arrive in the same hell,
As they sometimes do,
They eye each other resentfully
